Serves: 20

  • ½ lb. hot sausage, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 32oz sour cream
  • 2 8oz whipped cream cheese
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 french bread loaves

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook sausage over medium heat, cook until done, set aside.
  3. Heat butter over medium heat, add onions, and cook 2 – 4 minutes until almost tender, set aside.
  4. In large mixing bowl combine sour cream, cream cheese, cheese, green onions, sauce, onions, and sausage. Mix until well combined.
  5. Cut small slice off top of loaves, remove bread from inside, breaking into bite sized pieces, and set aside.
  6. Spoon mixture into loaves being careful not to overfill. Wrap in tin foil and bake 60 minutes. Remove tin foil, set on platter, garnish with bread pieces and serve.
