This desserts goes great with a scope of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream.
  • 1 stick (1/4 lb) unsalted butter
  • 5 granny smith apples, peeled, cored
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ lemon, juiced
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Whipped cream

  1. Melt butter in large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add apples, zest, lemon juice and cook until apples are tender, approximately 7 – 10 minutes. Pour into bowl, add brown sugar, cinnamon and mix well. Scoop into bowls, top with whipped cream and lightly dust with cinnamon.
