Some of the cookware I use
People always like to know what type of cookware are used in the kitchens of famous chefs. While I’m by no means famous I can let you know what I use on a daily basis when preparing meals.
First off when it comes to cookware, the old motto “you get what you pay for” really does apply. Over the years I have used many different varieties of pots and pans. Some have been great purchases and some… not so good. We once had a tempered glass pot explode on the stove and burn my wife when she was 8 months pregnant! Fortunately she and the baby were ok.
After doing lots of research we decided on the All-Clad. They are a bit of expensive but there are some things to consider:
- They will literally last for a lifetime. We have used them daily for ten years and they still look great and perform flawlessly.
- You can score great deals by purchasing seconds. They have cosmetic blemishes that usually can only be seen with a microscope. 🙂
- The cost of replacing “inexpensive” cookware adds up to more than the cost of a really good brand like All Clad after the 2nd or 3rd replacement set.
